Much confusion exists today on the subject of divine healing. Our view is simple. We believe the 53rd chapter of Isaiah holds the key to our redemption physically as well as spiritually.
Our salvation is provided for in Isaiah 53:6, which declares that "...The Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." We see this clearly explained by the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:21 'For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
In Isaiah 53:4 we read, in the original Hebrew, "Surely he hath borne our sicknesses and carried our pains." This verse provides for our physical healing. This also is confirmed in the New Testament in Matthew 8:16-17 where it records that the healing and deliverances performed by Jesus were done "that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the Prophet, saying, 'himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses.'"
Just as we believe God laid our sins on Jesus, and as a result there is salvation for us, we must also believe Isaiah when he tells us in the same passage that because our sickness, disease and pains were laid on Jesus, there is healing for us.
The Word of God is a seed that, when planted, will produce an abundant harvest. Because we cannot believe beyond our actual knowledge of this Word, we must first understand God's Word for the provision of healing, blessing, prosperity, etc. before we can possess the manifestation of it. For this reason, we teach the principles of the Apostolic Faith to produce in those who hear, the prevailing faith that becomes the substance of things hoped for and is evidenced in the manifestation of things not seen
