(Isaiah 44:6)
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
(John 1:49)
Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
Jews are staunchly monotheistic. When you ask them if their heavenly King can be two persons, they would quickly tell you that there is no chance of that. How many Kings does Israel have? The Father is said to be their King, and that is who they are expecting. Still, we know that Jesus is the King of the Jews. Who is the true King?
17. To whom will every knee bow and every tongue
swear?
(Isaiah 45:23)
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
(Philippians 2:10)
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
How many will we bow to? The Father says He will have everyone bow and swear to Him. Jesus takes it a step further by saying that everything in heaven and in earth will bow and swear to Him. If this is two persons then the Father would bow to Jesus. Is this so? Who will you bow to?
18. Whose return are we waiting for?
(Zechariah 14:4-5)
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king ofjudah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
(Matthew 25:31)
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
The church is waiting on a glorious return of their King. Who should we be expecting to see; the Father or Jesus? We better figure it out because it will happen very soon.
19. Is the Son eternal? How can He be begotten as well?
(John 3:16)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
(Hebrews 1:5-6)
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
The trinity states that Jesus is eternally God the Son. Since this term is not found in scripture, can you clarify what this means because the bible says that Jesus is the begotten Son of God?
To be begotten, you must have a beginning. To be eternal is to have no beginning and no end. How can Jesus be both eternal and begotten at the same time?
20. Who is the Father of Jesus?
(1 John 1:3)
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 1:18)
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
(Luke 1:35)
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
We all know that God is the Father of the Lord Jesus. What we are still trying to figure out is how many Fathers Jesus has. Of course, the Father is Jesus' father, but the Holy Ghost is said to have been the one that caused this child to be conceived in the womb of Mary. Is the Holy Ghost His Father as well?
21. How many Spirits are there?
(John 4:24)
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
(2 Corinthians 3:17)
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
(Ephesians 4:30)
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
(Ephesians 4:4)
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
We know that God is a Spirit. We also see Christ called "that Spirit". The Holy Ghost by definition is a Spirit. How many Spirits are there? The bible says only one. What say you?
22. Did "God the Son" die? Can God die? Can part of God die? (Was this heavenly genocide? Or because He was the King, was it regicide?)
(Romans 5:10)
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
This is very simple. Did God die?
23. If the Son is eternal who was His mother in eternity? Is Mary eternal as well? The Son was made of a woman. Was Mary at creation?
(Galatians 4:4)
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Again, the trinity says Jesus is eternal. If this is so, where does this eternality of the ancestry of Jesus stop?
24. Did "God the Son" surrender His omnipresence
while on earth? If so, how did He remain being I
God?
(Psalm 139:7-12)
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
God is omnipresent. If all three persons are equal then Jesus (the second person) must be as well. Did He surrender that attribute while on earth? If so, how can He still be considered a co-equal to the other persons?
25. Who should the believer direct their prayers and worship to?
(John 4:21-24)
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the23.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
(Acts 7:59-60)
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
Should we say three prayers and offer worship to three entities? It is said of both Father and son that they hear and answer prayers and receive worship.
26. Are there three Spirits in a believer's heart?
(John 14:17)
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
(John 14:23)
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
(Romans 8:9)
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
(Ephesians 3:14-17)
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
The heart of the believer is said to possess all three persons of the trinity. How many Spirits dwell in your heart?
27. If Jesus is on the throne, how can He also be sitting
at the right hand?
(Acts 7:55)
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
(Revelation 4:2)
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Can Jesus be in two places at one time? If not, how can He be on the throne and at the right hand at the same time?
28. Is Jesus in the Godhead or is the Godhead in Jesus?
(Colossians 2:9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
The age old question still has no valid answer. The trinity says that Jesus is the second person in the Godhead. The bible says that the Godhead is in Jesus completely. Is Jesus in the Godhead or is the Godhead in Jesus?
29. Given the Great Commission, why did the apostles consistently baptize in the name of Jesus, even to the extent of rebaptism?
(Acts 2:38)
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(Acts 8:16)
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
(Acts 10:48)
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
(Acts 19:5)
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
(Acts 22:16)
And now why tarriest thou? arise,.and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
If Jesus' command to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost showed three persons, why did Peter and the rest of the Apostles never obey Him? Did the church start out in division from its own savior? Did Peter obey Jesus when He baptized in the name of Jesus Christ? Who do you obey?
30. If the Son and Holy Ghost are equal persons of the Godhead, why is blasphemy against the son pardonable, while blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is not?
(Luke 12:10)
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
The trinity says that all persons are co-equals. If this is so, why is it forgivable to blaspheme the Son, but not forgivable to blaspheme the Holy Ghost? That doesn't sound very equal.
31. Did God (the trinity) make the Old and New
covenants?
(Jeremiah 31:31-34)
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
(Hebrews 8:7-13)
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house ofjudah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
If so, did all three have to die to make the covenant effective?
(Hebrews 9:16-17)
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
The bible tells us that God made both the Old and New covenants. God, according to the trinity, is all three persons of the Godhead.
With that understanding: did all three persons die to establish the covenant? Who established what? If not, did the bible get it wrong when it says that God made the covenant?
Conclusion
These are just a few questions to ask the trinitarian when helping them to realize the error of his doctrine. There1 are many more questions that can be asked, but these are just a few that are easily understood and quickly referenced.
Study, pray, fast, worship and seek God concerning the winning of lost souls. Here are many people in our cities that go to church hungry for God, but are being fed false doctrine. These people should be considered a mission field, and a large one at that.
Use what you have learned in this book to effectively witness to those who do not have the full truth of God's word. Someone is waiting for you to show them the way!
